Solar dos Cantos is a family home surrounded by 1.5 hectares of botanical garden. Just a 15-minute walk from the center of Ponta Delgada, on the island of São Miguel, Azores, our boutique hotel is a true haven of well-being in nature. Here, greenery envelops us and the birdsong harmonizes with the serene urban landscape and the horizon overlooking the ocean.

The natural elements and tones echo the lush gardens, creating a perfect harmony between past and present. The 15 rooms, modern in terms of comfort and design, were conceived to bring the outdoors indoors, with contemporary décor complemented by selected vintage pieces from the property's 19th-century collection.

You have just entered the home of José do Canto, a remarkable botany enthusiast and a prominent figure in São Miguel during the 19th century. We have transformed his beautiful family home into a charming retreat, where each room tells its own story. What was once the library, the office, the living room and the sitting room have now been carefully redesigned to offer you a comfortable stay, while always maintaining its historical charm.
